Ricki Pierce, a.k.a. The Rock Pirate

Ricki first discovered his passion for rocks while playing pirate as a child in his father’s gold mine in his hometown of Durango, Colorado. This fascination eventually led him to pursue a career in stone masonry after he moved to the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.

Through his unique approach, Ricki has established himself in his business since the mid 1990’s with countless projects throughout Western North Carolina. His talent and interest in unusual stone creations leads him to seek out creative challenges and new ways in tackling them. In colaboration with his wife Damaris, Ricki weaves traditional rockwork with creative sculpture elements into timeless treasures.
